Every year in autumn, FILMFEST HAMBURG delights over 45,000 cinema fans. Over ten days, around 110 national and international feature and documentary films are shown on 13 screens. The program spans ten sections, ranging from artistically demanding arthouse films to innovative mainstream cinema, and includes a colorful film and event program for the youngest cinema-goers. Under the motto "Filmfest for everyone - everywhere in Hamburg," the first Filmfest in Hamburg was opened in 1992. To date, around 3,000 national and international film productions have celebrated their world, European, or German premieres at FILMFEST HAMBURG.
